How to change filenames with holding the same sequence?

Normally I ingest my images with this basic structure filename :

ABC20210101_c1-[seq].jpg

Then, they will get processed and saved

ABC2021010_c1-[seq]_DE.jpg

Sometimes I have to give the files away, so I have to ingest the files a second time from a folder with this structure:

ABC121_[seq]DE.jpg
ABC121_[seq]DE_DE.jpg

Whats the easiest workaround in PM for that?

Why is Ingest needed a second time?  Usually Ingest is used to get the images from your camera card onto your hard drive.

I can't suggest an actual solution because I can't quite figure out where the various renaming steps occur and whether the length of the appended "DE" stuff varies.

Second ingest is not really needed, but for me its all along the easiest way to rename and tag with metadata in one way.

Maybe it is easier, so write the sequence of the first ingest in one metadata field, and read it out for renaming.

Note that the Copy/Move dialog also allows you to apply metadata and rename the files in the single step as well, and might be a little bit more flexible in this case. Maybe not.
