Color Class Updates (PM to LRC and LRC back to PM)
« on: November 29, 2021, 12:05:27 PM »
Hi - I understood the at PM updates were reflected in LRC (metadata, tags etc) after performing a folder Sync in LRC. So far so good, however, the reverse is not true. When I've performed a simple test (changing color class from Green to Red in LRC), the update is not pulled back into PM which I understood was an automatic function.

PM Preferences are set [Adobe Lightroom] with Synchronize Color Class with IPTC/XMP Label checked

Do I have a set up issue and if so, how can I resolve please? I'd be very grateful for any pointers.

You need to get Lightroom to update the metadata in the files (or sidecars) themselves.  Otherwise all of your changes have only happened in the database.

Select the images in Lightroom.  Choose "Save Metadata to Files" from the "Metadata" menu.

Thanks Kirk - Its different than the way I've seen it on a couple of W/flow youtube videos, but it works, thank for your help - (more than can be said from the Adobe forum/helpdesk who wanted to duplicate the image to force a color class "refresh") and the bailed saying they didn't know PM in detail to be able to provide the w/flow answer being asked! Cheers
