Cant Export XML

Hi All,

When I try to export an XML the interface will not allow to choose file type (field remains empty see screen grab)

When you push export it creates an unknown file, which open office cant open

Any clue?

Sounds like something we'll have to fix.  In the meantime, try naming the file with a .XML extension.  Otherwise, add the extension in Windows Explorer.

You never responded with a sample file that was causing problems.

I don't know what you mean by trying "excell" files?  I assume you mean Microsoft Excel, but does Excel handle XML?

The XML Exporter dialog in my Windows PM+ (v6.0 6245) also sports an empty drop down list for file type, but it works fine to just specify the full filename, the xml file is created.

If I understand the background info provided, the OP is however; not trying to read XML into Microsoft Excel, but rather into the Apache Open Office spreadsheet program Calc. It mimics Excel in many respects, but I have yet to see it handle XML. When I point Calc to an XML-file created by PM+, Calc triggers a General Error message.
