Older/Duplicate images downloaded
« on: March 13, 2022, 10:45:04 AM »
This is the first time I've had this happen and I don't know what would have changed to cause it. I've always counted on PM to track the files downloaded from a card and only download new files. This has allowed me to leave images on a card and not Format it before each shoot. Suddenly today it downloaded the entire card. That's 100's of images I will have to go through and delete. Some will be easier to delete than others, for example those that were originally downloaded to a different folder. Some will be more difficult because they are now duplicates or images that were deleted.

I have not made any changes to my preferences (I have always had Ingest checked for Incremental Ingest: copy new photos only). What could cause this? How can I prevent this ever happening again?

I am shooting with a Canon R5 and today was using the RF 24-70mm f2.8 lens. However, I was using it yesterday and did not have this problem so I do not think it had anything to do with the camera or lens. I have had the same Sony 128GB CFexpress card in the camera for many shoot days. It currently has 41GB on it.

It happens due to the time change.  It won't happen again unless you have another time change and haven't reformatted your card before shooting.

Kirk, so it has to do with the time change to Daylight Savings Time? That explains why I've never had it happen before. I'm relieved there's a logical explanation. Now I need to remember for the next time change!
