FTP usernames with a hyphen

Hey Kirk, through some testing I just found out that PM fails when trying to FTP with a username that contains a "-" in it.

Login worked fine using the credentials in regular FTP clients, but PM returned a 503 error. As soon as I removed the hyphen from the username PM could connect just fine.

Where was the hyphen in the username?  Start, middle, end?  Multiple places?

It was "freelance-photo" in my testing.

Hi Kevin,

I'm unable to recreate this FTP error when transmitting to an account name that contains a hyphen. I simply created and FTP account named "hyphen-test" and was able to upload files without error. I tested both Photo Mechanic's FTP and FTP v6 upload templates.

There may be more information regarding this error in Photo Mechanic's log file. Go to the Photo Mechanic Help menu and select Reveal Support Data. Then attach the PM.log file to your post.

Jerry, thanks for the reply. I've been unable to reproduce the error so must have been a one-off problem I experienced. I apologize for the noise.
