Text recognition in Mac OS

Is there a way to use the text recognition feature built into Mac OS inside PhotoMechanic? I know you can drag a jpeg into Safari and it will recognize text so you can copy and paste it, but it would be handy to use this feature inside PM. If it isn't possible now, is there a way to open the jpeg preview from a raw in Safari quickly straight from PM?

I know Apple has made this API available, so I just wonder if you've incorporated it.
