Camerabits documentation makes a strong recommendation to keep catalog on LOCAL computer HD / SSD in a discussion about whether to use on a cloud or local server. Given that a license provides for 3 "seats", how would a person keep these in sync...other than manually copying to 2nd and third computers, or perhaps rsync the files from most recent to orphans? That seems tedious and probably error prone.I am currently keeping the catalog folder on the same NVME SSD connected via Thunderbolt that contains the photo folders and all seems well. That SSD is "Carbon Copy Cloned" to an identical SSD every time I touch the actual files.
There would be a nice advantage to be able to work with catalog even when external SSD is not attached, so I like the idea. Do the CATALOGS need to be synced between COMPUTERS, or is everything written to the files themselves and a catalog sync of the file folders on the "orphan" computer bring it up to equal status?
