EPS files "read only" using Photo Mechanic 6

I need to edit the metadata for a large number of EPS logo files. The files, however, are marked as "read only." I can edit the metadata using a program like Adobe Bridge but can't seem to be able to do so in Photo Mechanic 6. I'm using a MacBook Pro with Ventura OS and Photo Mechanic 6 build 6784. Any ideas on how to fix this? Are EPS files not manageable using Photo Mechanic?

Photo Mechanic cannot add metadata to EPS files. Please see our supported files documentation for information about what files Photo Mechanic can add metadata to: https://docs.camerabits.com/support/solutions/articles/48000361354-supported-file-formats-in-photo-mechanic-6

You might try Exiftool.  I was able to see the metadata in an EPS file I downloaded to test if it might work.
