Copy and advance
« on: August 24, 2023, 05:10:49 PM »
Is there a way to add the IPTC from one image to the next image without having to cut & paste the description from next image to the next one and so on?  For example, I am editing the image description and the next three images I want to have the same description. Currently, I have to cut & paste the description field to the next image and so on. Is there a faster way to have the IPTC copy to the next image and save?

The only other option would be to select the images that all need the same caption, open the Metadata (IPTC) Template ( Command-I or Control-I shortcuts ), click the Clear button at the bottom, enter the new caption and then click the Apply Template to Selected button, ( Command-Option-A or Control-Alt-A shortcuts ).  I'm suspecting it will be faster to copy and paste one caption to the next, for 4 or less images. If there 5 or more images that need to same caption, Applying the Metadata (IPTC) Template should be faster.
