It would be useful to have a global/local option for every dialog that allows a user to apply metadata. This includes Live Ingest, Copy/move, Save as, Upload, and "FTP as".
Without this option creating snapshots with "apply metadata" checked carries such a high risk of unintentionally overwriting the metadata photos that the option is unusable in this situation
The global/local distinction is could also be more clear "application wide template" and "[dialog] specific template" would be explanatory for both users who current employ them and those who aren't aware of their function
