Canon's Blur/out-of-focus image detection metadata support?
« on: August 03, 2024, 10:00:01 AM »
Canon R1 & R5 II are supposed to have a new Blur/out-of-focus image detection which writes a flag for photos it rates as in‑focus and sharp into the image metadata when enabled.

Supposed to be available to third parties easily, not just hidden in some obscure obfuscated EXIF makernote, though I have no idea yet of the specifics.

Would be nice to have it as a variable, especially if one could do [evaluate] with it on ingest and automatically have the ingest's IPTC template colour or star code the "not blurry" photos for easier culling.
