Edit focal length
« on: January 30, 2025, 10:21:31 AM »
Hello

I am using a Laowa 9mm non-CPU lens with my Nikon Z6III. In the setup menu, I went to the non-CPU lenses menu, and added this lens. Unfortunately, the camera doesn't know "9mm" lenses, so I chose 8mm. It means that when I see the focal lens in Photo Mechanic, it appears as 8mm. I would like an easy way to correct this to 9mm. I did not find a way to correct Exif data with the IPTC metadata template. So what is the easiest way ? Thanks a lot for your help. I am on the Windows version.

Photo Mechanic cannot edit exif information like the focal length. I would recommend Exiftool for something like this.

Thanks. Exiftool is too complicated for me. It is really a pity that an elaborate program such as Photo Mechanic is not able to do this. The question was already asked in 2012 !

Please make a feature request.  If it looks like enough people want it and it's possible to implement, it would likely get implemented.
