Catalog Sync...
« on: February 19, 2025, 05:52:27 AM »
Hello everyone,

I moved some folders from an HD to another and I did Catalog Sync. Now I've the photos I moved on the new HD with the green point (online) but when I search I can see also the photos that before were on the other HD with the yellow point (offline). How can I search and remove from the catalog all the offline photos from that HD?*

Another question: what's that -sync- (1)?**

Edit->Select Catalog Status->Source File Unavailable

Choosing that menu item should select the images that have the yellow dot (offline).  You can then remove them by choosing Catalog->Remove Selected Items

I do not have an answer for your second question.  I'd have to research the code, but I'm swamped with other tasks right now.

I'm unable to reproduce on my development system.  Tell me about your system and whether you have any extensions that change the behavior of the file/folder chooser dialogs installed.

I'm on macOS Sequoia 15.3.1 and I'm not using any extension.

The "-sync-" collection is described in the Catalog Sync https://camerabits.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/48001252544-catalog-sync

Does the problem still occur if you turn off Stage Manager?

Hello ahoward, if I turn off Stage Manager the problem disappears.
