date adjust on TIF odd issue

Hello,

having a odd issue. Scanned two batches, and want to adjust the date.  add all TIF photos to a contact sheet, sort them (via arrange), select all and change the names. So far so good.  When i want to change the dates only half of the photos are updated correctly.  When trying to update the incorrect nothing happens, unless i quit PM, restart. Then things works again. I only see this on my mac w apple silicon, not my imac w intel or the old version. 

I know TIF can be tricky but the 'feels' more like a apple file system issue.  Anyone seen something similar, and clue to fix (without having to exit PM) ?

I'd like to see your Photo Mechanic log.  In Photo Mechanic go to the Help menu and choose "Reveal Support Data..." and moments later a Finder window will come forward with the zipped log file selected.  Use the 'Attachments and other options' link when you're composing your reply to this message and there you'll be able to upload your zipped PM log file.
