We are aware of the issue and working on getting out a build that fixes this and some of the issues with customizable keyboard shortcuts on the windows side. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Hi Max, not sure if you're on Mac or Windows, but here's a new build that will resolve the issue with variables that you reported:  https://www.camerabits.com/download/PhotoMechanicR8845_dd22e3f3.msi

We'll have a Mac build soon as well, of course.
