I use the ingest option for ingestion photos as well as video files. Lately there has been a lot of new files types other than the standard photo and video types. The main new types are 360 video and photos.
PM recognises some of these but not many others.
My issue is I want to ingest photos and videos separately from the camera card that has both types of files present. I can separate files by file types using code replacement but then I get "Unknown" types which are actually 360 photos or videos. Additionally, there are file types that I DO NOT want to ingest (thumbnails etc).
Additionally, I would like to separate photos and video files onto separate drives.
My proposal:
1. Provide a facility to create a user list of known photo file extensions that PM does not already know about so that PM can handle them alongside photos.
2. Provide a facility to create a user list of known video file extensions that PM does not already know about so that PM can handle them alongside videos.
3. Provide the facility to select the file types to ingest (photos, videos or list of extensions) and ignore unknown files.
4. Provide a variable for the "Destination Folder" so that it can be used in code replacement (to direct to different drives)
