Find all jpegs that have no raw source file.
« on: June 05, 2026, 11:31:01 PM »
Hi,

I have just discovered that my image collection contains a large number of jpeg images that have raw source images with a different name.  Typically only the last part of the name of the jpeg copy is different as it has been extended in some way for example by appending "_1star" to the name.

I wish to get rid of these jpegs but want to ensure that I don't delete jpegs that have no raw source.  I am undecided on whether I should use PM+ or if I need a different Finder based tool.

Is there a search term that locates jpegs that have no raw file in the same folder?

The Windows version of NeoFinder is called AbeMedia -or some such thing. It's actually done by a different developer. NeoFinder uses so many OS services that I'm a little concerned about how a Windows version will come out. The database format is said to be exactly the same. So you can use both Mac and Windows clients together in a multi user setup.. but how usable is the Windows version? That's kind of the question.
