Sending video files via FTP
« on: June 26, 2007, 01:32:43 PM »
We often send images (with IPTC) and associated video clips to the same clients, so it would be great to be able to do it all from one application.

I tried to FTP an FLV (flash video) file together with a JPEG using the demo of Photo Mechanic 4.5.1.1. (We are currently using 4.4 but it did not show the FLV file in the folder).

What I found is that Photo Mechanic sends the JPEG but either ignores the FLV or says that it could not be saved as a JPEG, (depending on the Transmit settings in the FTP As window).

Is there any way around this - perhaps a checkbox to say "Send other Files"?

thanks

Gareth :)

Not currently, but we're working on that for the 4.5.2 version.

Hi Kirk, sorry to be a pain but I was just wondering if this feature had made it to the 4.5.2 public beta, as I couldn't find it.

thanks!

Gareth

Not in the public beta, but hopefully by its final release.
