Punctuation in IPTC fields

One of my clients demands several supplemental category codes be used for filed images. I ingest (on my Mac) and use one sup cat per field in the IPTC fields. When I view the IPTC info via Photoshop, a semicolon appears between sup cats (all shown in the same field in PSCS3). When viewed by my client (on a PC) using Photoshop, all of the sup cats after the semicolon are missing. Is there any way to have the sup cats listed without punctuation? For now I just put all of the sup cats in the same field in the Photomechanic IPTC template.

The supplemental categories are 'lists' which are repeated IPTC fields, one for each supplemental category entered.  PM does not put any punctuation into the fields whatsoever.

The other applications you have listed are showing these semi-colons in their UIs.  They also are not putting punctuation into the IPTC records.  Or at least they should not be doing so.
