If I remember right, there was some discussion a while ago about marking/moving photos already transmitted via ftp. If I remember right, it was also mentioned, this feature might be available once in future. Since it would be really useful feature for me, I'm just trying to check if this is still on to-do list or not?

Yes, it is still on the to-do list.  I have it scheduled for 4.6, but I don't know for sure if it will make it in 4.6 or not.
