Ingesting Canon on Mac
« on: February 13, 2008, 07:43:49 PM »
I can't seem to Ingest photos from my Canon 5D.  It works fine with my Nikon.  Unlike my Nikon, the Canon does not shop up as a disk drive, nor does it show up in the Ingest disk dialog.

The images download without problem if I use the Mac Image Capture program.  Once downloaded they work fine with PM.

MacBook Pro 15"
Leopard (10.5.2)

Thanks,

Russ

Do you have a card reader?  Use it instead of the camera connected to the computer.  It will be faster and more reliable and the card will show up on the desktop as a disk.  Photo Mechanic will then be able to Ingest the files.
