I'm running PM 4.5 on a Mac and was wondering if there's any way have PM run exports in the background (or from a second "instance" of PM) so that ingesting and contact sheet evaluation and deletion can continue while another folder is exporting?
Right now, it seems that exporting brings up a modal dialog box and prevents the user from operating the application until the export (which can take much longer than an ingest) is complete.
If not .. does anyone have any other suggestions for rapid web conversion of a folder of photos that wouldn't lock up PM?
I'm trying to work out the logistics of shooting a tournament with 10 photographers that are passing us CF cards that need to be ingested and posted to an on-site web server for kiosk browsing and ordering. Ingesting 10 cards per hour at their shoot rate shouldn't be a problem with PM ... but I'll need to have multiple web conversion threads going at once to keep up with that load.
