Nikon RAW - imglib?

does PM make us of the NikonIMGLIB? ( http://nikonimglib.com/nefcodec/ ) for raw display
using the latest version of PM on win10

how does it work instead? does PM "only" use the embedded jpg?

Yes.  If you shoot raw+jpg and have enabled the combined raw+jpg option, then the jpg is displayed.

In general, the embedded JPEG found in the RAW file is used.

I have looked into using Microsoft's Windows Imaging Component (it uses the plugin provided by Nikon and others) but it is very slow.  Ten seconds to render a D2X NEF.  We may add support for it in the future.
