Proof Sheets to be printed out-of-house
« on: June 20, 2008, 12:20:50 PM »
Photo Mechanic seems to be a great program to easily generate proof sheets of bodies of work, and I was wondering if there is a way to create contact sheet files that could be printed at a lab.

It occurred to me that you could simply create a PDF file while in the print dialogue (Save As PDF...). Is this the best way to go about it? Are they any problems with having PDF files printed at a lab, like color management?

Is there another way I haven't thought of?

I'm running PM 4.5.3.1 on a MacBook Pro with OS X 10.4.11 and 1.5 GB of RAM.

Thanks a bunch.

The PDF file should be color-managed.  As long as the lab can print from a PDF, I would expect good results.
