Spamers harvesting our info?

In any event, I've forwarded this on to the RCMP for their list of Nigerian Scam artists, which this is. 

It's fake, a lie and a number of people have been conned.

Beware.  Delete it immediately.

Then the question:  How did they get this?

Everyone: If you do not want other members to be able to view your email address, please check the "Hide email address from public" box in the Account Related Settings screen of your profile.

While email addresses are never visible to unregistered guests, they will be visible to other forum members, unless "Hide email address from public" is checked.

Apparently someone has registered an account on the forums for the purpose of harvesting email addresses.  We will attempt to determine the culprit by researching the server logs.  But the only sure way to prevent this from happening again is to make sure your email address is hidden in your profile.
