XMP-files,unwanted

Help,

since yesterday I create xmp-files while applying IPTCs to raw+jpg.I didn't change anything in preferences.It was working right always.

You must tell PM to embed IPTC4XMP metadata instead.

Ok,I changed it to this:
Now it works like before.wonder,why it changed at all.Now I try to write the IPTCs to the raws,using "update iptc/xmp".But it doesn't work.

You won't be embedding IPTC4XMP with your settings, just IPTC will be embedded.
