Delete warning
« on: December 08, 2008, 08:03:34 AM »
Is there a warning that one can set up that would appear when one deletes a keyword from the structured keywords panel? I just accidentally hit the "d" key and wiped out an entire huge family of keywords.

If not, it would be nice to see in future versions.

In lieu of that, is there any way to restore those keywords?

Thanks,
Robert

What OS are you running?
What version of Photo Mechanic are you running?
How can I reproduce this issue?  As far as I know, there are no keyboard shortcuts in the Structured Keywords Panel for any of the operations that it can perform.

Sorry -- let me clarify. I accidentally hit the "d" key after right clicking on a keyword. That deleted the entire downstream family of keywords associated with the word. The word happened to be "plant" -- thus it wiped out all the species of flowers and trees associated with it.

It was a stupid mistake, but still, it would have been nice to have a warning asking if I really wanted to delete that keyword.

I'm working on a PC with the latest version of PM.

Interesting.  I hadn't added any keyboard shortcuts to the contextual menu, but indeed it appears that the first letter of each command does execute that command.  I will add in a Delete confirmation dialog box for version 4.6.
