Cannot locate proper screen

I just installed PM and on a Mac, and I cannot figure out how to get to the screen where you just click on the "i" and you edit the caption.  It's really the screen where you click on the photo you want to edit and it gives you a series of icons above the photo, one of which is "i" and another is "E".  All I'm getting is a preview screen.

In the upper right hand corner of the window is a small silver colored button.  Click on it to bring back the toolbar.
