Can't ingest !?
« on: January 12, 2009, 06:24:01 AM »
Hi!

Im using the latest version of PM and OSX

Today i opped in a CF card, and started ingesting, i have default path to a external FW 800 drive.

Path is: WD My Photos/My Photos

Sadly my little daughter pulled the plug from my FW800 drive and it shut down, i aborted the ingestion and plugged in the harddrive and started over.

Now the new path is:WD My Photos 1 ?

And i try to chose the my fw drive, its visible in the image as you can see, but when i press ingest it just finnish without actually transfering any files.

All my other program have no problem reading the FW800 drive, and see it with its "original" name Lightroom finder, photoshop etc.

I can pick any other drive and ingest, and it works without problems.

I deleted PM and all related files, and reinstalle it, no diffrence ?

Any ideas ?

I'm sure a restart of your computer will solve the problem.  Your drive wasn't unmounted correctly and for some reason unknown to me at this time, it is confusing Photo Mechanic.

I suggest calling support at 503-547-2888 and they should be able to get things working for you.
