File Uploader window to display FTP connection setting name
« on: March 09, 2009, 08:31:28 AM »
Just started using 4.6 and I find a lot of great enhancements.

One request though, would it be possible to include the FTP Connection Setting Name on the File Uploader window?  Currently I have to click "Edit Connections" to verify the ftp destination is set to the correct account.

Working for several clients, often in the same day, in the past I have inadvertently uploaded to the wrong server, and this being on 4.5.x where the IP address was displayed.  With 4.6, I see the possibility of this happening even more frequently.

Also, if possible, it would be better to display the FTP Connection Setting name over the FTP IP address since often times the IP address is in numerical form and not obvious in itself as to the destination.

Thanks,

Mike

You need to either scroll down the template (there is a scroll bar on the side) or resize the Uploader window taller.  The active Connection Setting will then be visible.

HTH,

-Kirk

Hey Kirk,

Just found this info in one of the support forum threads and was on my way back over here to tell you to never mind but you beat me to it.

Thank you for the quick response

Mike
