Accidental delete problem

Twice in the past couple of days I've accidently deleted an entire folder of images. I see the problem, I'm not sure if it's a bug , a design error or ME. But I think it's new, may be not.

Steps -
1. Select a folder (folder gets Highlighted)
2. Select Grey color class {shift click on grey)
3. Ctrl-A to select all grey images (but folder stays higlighted)
4. hit Delete to delete grey images
BUT the FOLDER gets deleted entirely!!! - (It's still highlighted)

While the warning states folder will be deleted it is little different form the file deletion warning & I did not notice it twice.
Both times I was continuing to work and noticed I had nothing to work on but if it was the last step it would be fatal.

What version of PM are you using and what OS are you running it on?

OK.  Was the selected folder in the Favorites or the Navigator?

I can't seem to reproduce the issue.  When I type the delete key it asks me to delete a photo, not a folder.  Or does it ask you two questions?  Do you have the preference set to not ask when deleting photos?

I have no problem reproducing it.

I hit the delete key below the insert key. I get a confirm folder delete window which looks just like a confirm file delete window and is too easy to assume it's the same.

What I'm bothered by is that the folder is still highlighted even after I click on a color class filter.

If I actually click on an image and then hit delete I get a PM warning "are you sure you want to move the selected item to the recycle bin.

I've attached 3 screen shots.

PM3 is the is clicking on the image and hitting the delete.
PM4 is after the color is clicked and ctrl a is used to select all - notice the folder still blue "selected"
PM5 shows the confirm folder deletion warning B U T (new wrinkle) ... notice the folder is no longer selected if I answer NO and hit the delete again ONLY the file is deleted.

Kirk - Anything on this - I did it again today. I keep wondering if I've ever deleted a folder and not realized it.

For me it seems the folder selection stays in focus as you don't click inside the contact sheet to give focus to the contact sheet. It seems the color filter selection area is not considered to be part of the contact sheet and selecting all images doesn't give focus to the contact sheet either. So it seems almost obvious that your delete keystroke is effective on the selected item which is in this case the folder selected in the navigator.
Maybe this can help Kirk.

I called Joe on the phone yesterday and he helped me reproduce the issue.  It is indeed a focus issue.  I have changed the keyboard shortcut for the Navigator to Alt-Del instead of the Del that is used in the Contact Sheet.  This should solve the problem.
