Thunderbird instead of outlook

Hi, I have a strange problem now.

for years PM used thunderbird als email application.  but now it uses outlook.

where can I configure this??

I am not sure if I found the right place in vista to set the default emailer.

What I do is launch Thunderbird, and it asks me if I want to set it as the default.

If it doesn't ask, use Tools > Options > General, and select "Check Now".

for sure I checked this already.

under COntrol Panel -> Defauklt programs -> Set default programs  I also set Thunderbird as Default.

This is the reason why I dont have any idea.

Why cant we set in PM  the default mailer?

PM cannot choose the email application.  PM can only "talk" to the currently selected MAPI provider.

XP usually has an option in the Start panel called "Set Program Access and Defaults" where you can control various programs as the default. If you have it, run it and select Custom. Locate email services and I think the choices should be clear at that point.
