« on: January 06, 2010, 10:08:32 AM »
hello,

If I ve a XMP-file for a jpg, the xmp is displayed separately in the contactsheet.

NEF+XMP are combined.

whats wrong?

and I am wondering about my setting

  • Dont update embedded IPTC/IPTC4XMP even...

so, if I do any changed in IPTC in PM, where it is saved??
Lightroom has now an important part in my workflow
using the latest version of PM on win10

XMP data is directly stored in JPEG files.  JPEG files do not have XMP sidecar files.  Lightroom should be putting XMP inside your JPEGs.  XMP sidecar files are only used with camera RAW files.  DNG files, while RAW, also have XMP stored within them.

PM is showing your XMP sidecar file as an item in the contact sheet because it cannot find a camera RAW file to attach it to.
