SmugMug uploader - some files not uploaded?

Hi,

I'm running PM 4.6.2.1 on OSX 10.6.3.

I've recently used the SmugMug Uploader a few times to send images to some online SmugMug galleries. The upload will complete with no errors, but when I look at the gallery on SmugMug, there are some image(s) missing. Are there any known problems with the SmugMug uploader?

My uploader options are:
Account: SmugMug Connection
Gallery: <a gallery I previously created through the SmugMug web interface>
Transmit: Original Photos
Preferences: Wait60 seconds before warning and allow concurrent uploads *both disabled*

For example, I just uploaded 15 images to a gallery, but only 14 appear to have made it.

I'm saving logs to my desktop, and the entry for the image that is "missing" is no different from any of the others.

I had to do a second upload to get it up there, and if the 2nd upload contains several photos, then theres a chance some of those won't make it, so it generally takes me about 2 or 3 iterations to get everything up there.

I don't know if the problem is PM or SmugMug.

Any ideas?

EDIT: All the files I'm uploading are JPGs, a mixture of those written out by NX2 and some out-of-camera from a Canon Point&Shoot.

I haven't heard of this issue before.  Basically PM won't consider a file uploaded unless the service it has uploaded the file to has acknowledged that the file has made it there.

On another note, you should get version 4.6.3 or the 4.6.4 beta since version 4.6.2.1 is known to be incompatible with Mac OS X 10.6.

Specifically, here is what I did:

- download 4.6.3
- moved old PM App to trash from Applications, copied new PM App to Applications
- started PM
- navigate to folder with images
- CMD+click to select 3 images (all JPG)
- click upload button, "File uploader" dialog appears
- settings same as described in initial post
- click "Send"
- "File uploader" dialog disappears, then within a second, the main PM window "flashes" for a split second like it tried to do something
- there is no upload window visible

Using the same steps, I think, would at least get the upload started with the previous version. Have I done something wrong?

Not to my knowledge.  Please contact support at 503-547-2888 during business hours and they should be able to get things straightened out for you.  If the problem can't be resolved, they'll tell me how to reproduce the problem so we can fix the problem in the application itself.

OK will do. It may take me a day or two as photography is not my primary business, so I'll need to be at home to do this.

BTW - I pulled the 4.6.2.1 application out of the trash, opened it, tried the same steps, and it works. Closed, went back to 4.6.3, tried again, and it doesn't. So it seems there is some difference with 4.6.3 (at least on my machine).
