My workflow flies -- it's super fast at ingesting, rating, tagging, ITPC labeling, and generating a web gallery of the keepers that I send of to a client for review. My webgalleries are simpleviewer based, and I use a water mark to put the frame number (which is a determined by a substring on the filename)
Then it bogs down dramatically when I get an email back from the client that looks like this...
Likes: 007, 009, 0013, 0015, 0030, 0037, 0038,0088, 0113, 0118, 0143, 0144, 0158, 0159, 0169, 0180,
Dislikes: 0042, 0043, 0045, 0092, 0125, 0129, 0177
Inbetween: 0048, 0063, 0080, 0102, 0109, 0122
(this one is actually pretty good... often they come back out of numerical sequence. Ugh.
I guess I really need a web-based application that is essentially the PM Contact sheet... maybe just giving the user the ability to rate, then filter on the ratings.
But of course, I'd have to be able to generate that aplication in PM -- just like I do now with SimpleViewer.
Then we'd have to figure out what to do when the customer finished rating... does it send me an email in a format I can use? No, I certainly don't want to let customers control my star ratings -- if the data went back into my files, it would have use different fields.
