Conditional supplementary categories

I am using PM 4.5.4
Is there a way that the drop-down list of Supplementary Categories could be determined by the entry in the Category field?
I appreciate that this may not be possible as there's no requirement to fill in the Category field before the Supplementary categories field.

No, that's not possible, not even on the current version of Photo Mechanic.  All of the lists are independent of values listed in other fields.

Depending on the values you are using, you could use IPTC Code Replacement as an option. All the values need to be In the IPTC Code Replacement text file(s), but that could help set the value of other fields bases on the value of a "driver" field.
