Deleting OSX Resource Fork metadata
« on: October 10, 2010, 05:38:59 AM »
Hi,

I have had the IPTC/XMP prefference "Add IPTC-NAA Resource when embedding IPTC" set in PM. This is now causing some confusion as some apps tell me I have Keywords in my RAW files and some say I don't. I guess some apps don't read the resource fork i.e ExifTool. I'd like to clean this up so would like to delete the data PM has embedded in the resource fork. How can I do this?

Thanks,
Mark

There is a 'Service' that will do that.  See http://www.gingerbeardman.com/services/

The Service you want is called 'Delete Resource Fork'.  Once you add the Service you should be able to remove the resource forks from the Finder.
