Progress bar in Dock Icon?

Would it be possible to add a progress bar to PM's dock icon, and the icon that appears when Command-Tab switching between apps?  This would be for monitoring the progress of Ingest and FTP tasks without having to have PM visible itself.

Perhaps calculate an average for uploads and another one for ingests. Maybe they could display with different colors or just their position relative to the icon itself could tell what they belong to. Say ingest appears bottom, upload appears to the top of the icon.
I think it needs not to display exact data just to be a visual information source to see how much advanced the progress is. Mostly if it is close to the end or already finished.

It would show the longest task running, ie the time until PM is idle again.
