Separate dated folders in ingest

Perhaps it could be automated (a separate option)...it is an ordinary feature when ingesting with Canon software.

When we offered a 'lite' version of PM, it had simple options like dated folders.  The full PM (all we offer now) allows you to do anything you want via the use of {variables} and Code Replacements.  It is unlikely that we would offer the simple options again since learning to use {variables} is a good thing to master for all users.  Even Sven's example of creating a yearly folder and then inside the yearly folder a YYYY_MM_DD folder couldn't be done with the simple dated folders option.  With {variables} it's possible.
