PM on an XP Network
« on: September 28, 2006, 06:39:54 AM »
PM 4.3.3.3

4 of us are using PM on a XP Network.

Two are experiencing slow down. (They always have and some times we all do)

I remember a post about creating a folder and placing it in the root of drives that you didn't want PM to poll. I was on the road and wrote it down but I can't find my note or find the post by searching on 'network' here.

Could I get that information again?

Also, any suggestions for setting preferences would be appreciated.

I'll run around and make sure everyone has their settins at least to your suggestions.

Thanks,

Jb.

The folder you should create is called "PMIngestIgnore" but it only affects Ingest volume scanning time.  It won't address any of the other issues that you described, like copy speed.

If you copy files with Windows Explorer (the same files to the same destination) are the copies fast?
