more functions in preview

i use PM on a dual screen, so i like to look at the large image as well as those around it. It would be good to be able to edit the currently viewed image in the application of choice without closing the window and returning to the contact view. In conjunction with this it would be good if the selected image in the contact pane changed as the previewed image changes.

If I understood Kirk correctly, the whole preview modal screen will be revamped in the next major release, including the improvements you suggested.

I just set the default editor in the prefs as opposed to letting the finder choose and it now allows me to use the E shortcut to open the file. Previously nothing happened so that's partly solved my problem, but having both windows active would be good. Looking forward to seeing the next biggie.
