Live Ingest - ingesting only locked files
« on: July 15, 2011, 03:55:45 AM »
Hi,

is it possible to ingest locked files only using Live Ingest? I can do that only with manual ingest but with Live Ingest PM copies (or maybe I should say moves) all of the files from CF card.

and one OT question - is it possible to make captions in the main window? like in Adobe Bridge?

thanks
Luk

Hi Luk!

For the live ingest I am using an eye-fi SD-card with integrated wireless capability. I am not a friend of long wires...
You can configure this card to transmit only files that are tagged to the target computer. If you set PM to live ingest images out of the target folder you have all the images on your eye-fi card and the tagged (locked) ones ingested via PM.

After 5 years of absence I restarted the photography.

Thanks for suggestion but that doesn't really solve my problem :)
plus I'm using CF cards and I heard that eyefi CF->SD converters doesn't work that well...

No.  All files are ingested, regardless of whether they're locked or not.

No.  PM uses a dialog (IPTC Info) to set metadata on files individually and the IPTC Stationery Pad to apply metadata to images in bulk.
