TIFF Saved As JPEG: IPTC tags for CIty, State, Country are Deleted

When I use Photo Mechanic to save TIFF files as high quality JPEGs, the City, State and Country fields are deleted.  How can I avoid that?

Are these the same TIFFs that you are having difficulties with when updating their IPTC data?

Yes this problem occurs with these "problem TIFF files" , but also occurs with "healthy TIFF files" that have not been split--- City, State and Country fields are deleted when PM converts a TIFF to 100% quality JPEG,

These "healthy TIFF files", where did they come from?  Photoshop?  Somewhere else?

I scanned these to my hard drive via my Fujitsu FI-6190 scanner using Their Scand All Pro software (Twain-based).  Scanned at 600 DPI in TIFF format as a non-lossy strategy to archive every possible pixel in historical photos and documents.

If you have a TIFF file that you have captioned with PM that when you save as to a JPEG that we can use to reproduce the problem, we'd like to see it.

Please make sure that you're not applying an IPTC Stationery Pad during the Save As operation that is clearing out those fields.  It's a fairly common mistake.

Thanks for the final tip in this post... I did make the common mistake--- I was applying an IPTC Stationary Pad that was deleting the location information.  Case closed.
