Modify (add) lens information for manual lenses

I have a Sony NEX-5n camera and use different manual focus lenses which are not compatible.  Since the lens data is not stored I would like to enter the lens information in Photo Mechanic.

You can put your lens data in the IPTC if you like.  PM does not allow the creation of custom EXIF tags.

I realize that I can enter the lens in IPTC.  I was just making a feature request.  It would be like changing the date/time of the picture.

Having an EXIF editor integrated into PM would certainly be a convenience, but there are enough third party apps that cane be started directly from PM that it is not a necessity.
