PM Hangs trying read a network drive

I've just added a new Network Attached Drive to my system and although PM can see the folders ok when I try to open the folder as a contact sheet PM hangs and needs to be shut down. I wondered if the folders had too many images so set up a smaller folder with the same result. Running win7 and the drive is a Seagate go-flex home.

How are you opening your contact sheet?  Drag and drop?  Favorites?  Navigator?

What version of Photo Mechanic are you running?

I'm using PM 5 ... latest update.

Using navigator to open the contact sheet. I've tried using fav's as well. No luck. Have tried double clicking and using the right click options.

Does it matter how many photos are in a folder that you're trying to browse?
What contact sheet sort method are you using?

Im having the very same issue.  I setup an old mac pro as a file server so I could access my images from anywhere in the house.  The network drives seem to work fine accept when I use PM.  I have the newest build of PM, am running OSX Lion on the file server and mountain lion on my laptop and desktop.  The speed/response seems to be the same for a folder with many images or just a few.
