Seems to be working fine for me. What's not working specifically for you?

Same problem with me.
I´m working on Windows 7, PM5, but after the latest update to 13895 I can use the crop when applying it to original RAW or JPG files.
But once I have edited the files in Photoshop, I can´t use the crop in PM any more...

Ah, right, I think that may explain it; hadn't tested editing in PS (or Lightroom). This should also help Camerabits to find the problem (which probably has to do with the latest fix in this area).

This was brought up on Sports Shooters message board a few days ago and the response from CameraBits.

I have no idea why the links I gave Kevin on SportsShooter.com got messed up, but these should work:

Mac: http://www.camerabits.com/download/PhotoMechanic5R13903.dmg
Windows: http://www.camerabits.com/download/PM5SetupR13903.exe

Kirk / Camera Bit Support,

I am running Mac OS 10.6.8 and PM  v5, build 13895 (de040ad).  Also just tried it with build 13903 (bde25d0).

Whenever I make any changes in PM it overrides my Adobe Camera Raw edits and puts the ACR settings back to defaults.  It does this with something as simple as changing a color class or changing metadata.

Also just tried it with build 13903 (bde25d0).

It sounds like you have PM embedding XMP metadata and likely have it reading embedded XMP metadata before XMP sidecar files.  We do not recommend embedding XMP metadata in RAW files if you use Adobe products.  Please check your IPTC/XMP settings in the Photo Mechanic Preferences dialog.

Is that under the IPTC/XMP menu in the Preferences panel?

What should each dialogue box in that panel be set to?

The above will keep new files from having the problem you described.  To fix your files that already exhibit the problem, use the "Revert TIFF-based RAW to original" command on the Tools menu.

http://wiki.camerabits.com/en/index.php?title=User_Manual_Flat_View#Revert_TIFF-based_RAW_to_original:

Deselect the "Backup IPTC/XMP to XMP sidecar files" checkbox.  You already have XMP sidecar files that have your settings in them that you don't want wiped out with the contents of your RAW files.
