selecting from multiple external photo editors
« on: April 10, 2013, 10:53:24 AM »
Hello,

I'm using  5.0, build 13915 (a16ea99) in Mac OS X 10.7.5.

Regarding the right-click drop down menu, is there a way to have the option to select from a multiple of external photo editors? The menu seems to only give me the option of selecting the default editor.

Thank you,
Walter

p.s. I meant to say earlier that Photo Mechanic is awesome. I can't see ever even trying out another workflow solution.

Sure this is possible.

1. Go into  Preferences > Launching

2. Find "Assign specific editing applications for each file type" and click "Set"

3. If you scroll to the bottom of that list there are spaces for Custom editors that you can assign to whatever programs you need.

4. Click Apply when done.

Once you do that, those programs should show up when you right-click an image in the Contact Sheet and go to "Edit Photo With"

Hi Mick,
Thanks, that got me sorted out.
I assigned an app for .nef file and now I get the choice of the default editor or the new app when I right click on a .nef file.
