IPTC settings
« on: November 10, 2013, 02:44:39 PM »
Hi Kirk,

is there a way to change iptc-dialog-settings (created by the flash-button) into iptcs ( like if they were created by the "save"-button) ? Because meanwhile the row gets endless. Or maybe there is a way to organise them in folders without slowing down the programm? I hope I explained myself well?

best regards
John

I use PM 5.0 on Mac os snow leopard

Hold down the Option key while you choose one of your snapshots and a Finder window will come forward with the item you selected.  From there you can copy/rename/delete the various snapshots.

- Kirk,

thanks for answering. I know this. My question is: Can I copy them into the IPTC-folder and they work as if I had saved them via the "Save"-button? Or, if this is not possible, if I create different subfolders in the iptc-dialog-settings folder, will it slow down the whole program?

best regards
John

What is this IPTC-folder you speak of?  Some place that you save to via the Save... button in the IPTC Info dialog?

How you layout your saved IPTC settings won't slow down Photo Mechanic at all.

As for making snapshots into .IPT or .XMP files, you'd have to load them one-by-one and then save them in your chosen format to your preferred location.

Kirk,

this was the answer I needed. So there will be no way other than the one by one way. Unfortunately.
