Open Contact Sheet menu item - display reversed

Hi,

Using Windows 7 32bit, with version 5.0 build 15077.

Have noticed that since this build and the previous one of a few weeks ago, the text in the 'Open Contact Sheet' folder navigation window and the OK / Cancel boxes is reversed.

No big deal - but looks a bit strange (to me anyway) - like the whole text has been selected.

Why does the window look like Windows 95?  Does all of PM5 look that way?

Hi Kirk,

Because I'm old and boring and didn't like the look of Windows 7, so use the Windows Classic theme.

I think the rest of PM5 looks normal - Screenshot attached of the whole screen with ingest window open.

Just thought I'd note,

It looks like this only happens if you have the Visual Effects set to Best Performance (classic look)

Hi Brandon,

Changing the Visual Effects setting on my machine from Best Performance to Best Appearance still results in the reversed text in the dialog box.

However, can confirm that the folder tree and boxes display correctly when the theme is switched back to Windows 7 Basic.

Guess it might be time to finally move into the 21st century and use the Win7 theme....... However, don't get me started on the look of Windows 8........hope we don't upgrade for a long while !

Sorry to add to the weirdness but…

I also prefer the classic view and am running Win 7 Pro 32 bit however, when I "Open Contact Sheet" I don't get the reversal of colors. Rather I'm seeing white where yours are black.

I get the feeling there may be another factor in play here?

Using the darker theme has an influence on this behavior.
You can see the lighter window by enabling the Photo Mechanic Preference under Accessibility: Use lighter interface theme ( Takes effect on restart of Photo Mechanic )

Hi Brandon,

Yes - Changing to lighter interface clears the problem.

Still prefer the darker interface however, so will live with the issue for now - like I mentioned earlier, it's no big deal.
