Edit Photo As....
« on: November 20, 2013, 06:18:05 AM »
I looked through the first ten pages of feature requests and did not see this, so I apologize if it has already been mentioned.

The ability to be able to right-click or control click on an image or a group of selected images and be able to have a command to edit a photo as a .jpg or RAW image would be great.

I know that under Preferences / Launching there is an option to set which file type you would like to edit when you elect to edit a photo, but often times I find myself going back to preferences to change that or right-clicking to reveal the image file in the finder to then double click the .jpg file so I can edit it.

For me it would speed things up and make the editing process much smoother, as I often have to switch back and forth from the RAW file to the attached .jpg.

For clarification, I shoot only RAW, and the attached .jpgs are created only after converting in Adobe Camera Raw.

Thanks in advance, and let me know if you need any further info.

To toggle the preference of what is edited on a RAW+JPEG pair, just hold down the "Modifier" key (Option on the Mac, Shift on Windows) when you choose the edit command.  The opposite of your preference will be edited.

Many thanks.
